BORA specializes in accounting and business management software development aimed at small and medium sized Travel Agencies, although we do offer expertise and business solutions for larger TAs. Over the past fifteen years BORA has become a local leader in business software solutions backed by the strength of the GDS/CRS and the kind contribution of renowned travel agencies.
BORA was born from a vision to simplify the lives of Travel Agencies Business Owners. The software's concept was founded by Rallou PETANG and developed by few computer scientists in 1999. Soon after Amadeus GDS joined BORA for a partnership for the distribution of the software in more than 23 countries in Central and West Africa.
Together with its devoted team, BORA has been able to figure out the specific needs of hundreds of travel agencies and has provided solutions to these needs. Equally, the company has continued its expansion into East and southern Africa.
Before BORA, most actors in the market were proposing management software at prohibitive prices. They show-cased a single application for all travel agencies the world over. BORA has a contrary view. The company holds that, it is better to tackle the specificities of the local market in a pragmatic manner and to propose easy-to-use, friendly, accessible and flexible solutions that are best applicable to different managerial models and which respect the laws of African countries.
